1. LWZ Combined Decanter-Screen (Sedimentation-Filtration) Centrifuge
[Product Introduction]
The LWZ combined decanter-screen centrifuge is a new solid-liquid separation machine developed by Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. that integrates a sedimentation centrifuge and a filtration centrifuge in one unit. It creatively couples a "centrifugal sedimentation clarification" stage with a "screen dewatering" stage in the same bowl system, combining the fine-particle adaptability of a decanter with the high cake dryness of a filtering centrifuge: liquid entrainment is minimal, and the solids come out drier than from either a conventional decanter or a filtering centrifuge alone. It handles suspensions with solid particle diameters of 0.03–10 mm for solid-liquid separation and centrifugal dewatering.
[Working Principle]
Stage one is centrifugal sedimentation: the suspension enters the sedimentation bowl, where it is clarified by centrifugal settling, and the clarified liquid overflows through ports on the bowl side to the overflow outlet on the housing. Stage two is filtration dewatering: the solids are conveyed by the screw into the screen section for secondary dewatering-residual moisture is flung off through the screen and discharged as filtrate, while the solids exit through the solids outlet. Because most of the liquid has already overflowed in the sedimentation stage, very little liquid remains in the screen section, so the loss of ultra-fine particles through the screen is minimal; the filtrate and the sedimentation liquid are discharged separately, and the filtrate can be recycled to the centrifuge for another pass, maximizing solids recovery.
[Product Applications]
Typical materials include aspirin, bisphenol, coffee concentrate, CPE (chlorinated polyethylene), DMT (dimethyl terephthalate), EPS (expandable polystyrene), Glauber's salt, isomaltulose, lactose, MC (methyl cellulose), mixed salts, PE, PMMA, PP, PVC, and SAN. The machine is widely used for crystallization separation and product dewatering in fine chemicals, polymer materials, pharmaceuticals, and food processing.
[Industry Application Cases & Market Insights]
Combined "sedimentation + filtration" centrifuges represent an important technical direction in solid-liquid separation: conventional decanters adapt well to fine particles but their cake dryness is limited by compression-dewatering behavior, while conventional filtering centrifuges produce dry cake but lose fine particles through the screen. The combination is particularly advantageous in dewatering bulk polymers such as PE, PP, and PVC-polymer powders have wide particle-size distributions rich in fines, and the combined machine simultaneously guarantees mother-liquor clarity and reduces cake moisture to packaging and downstream-drying specifications, cutting drying energy. With the expansion of China's petrochemical and polymer capacity and growing exports, demand for high-efficiency dewatering equipment in polymer post-treatment continues to rise. Thanks to its separated, non-interfering clarification and drying stages-and features such as cake break-up when the pre-dewatered solids pass from the sedimentation section into the screen section, and a large-diameter screen basket ensuring ample capacity with thin solid layers-the LWZ series of Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. helps polymer and fine-chemical customers maximize throughput while minimizing solids loss, with successful references at multiple materials producers.
[Key Advantages]
Clarification and drying performed in two separate, non-interfering stages-clarity and dryness both guaranteed.
Minimal liquid entrainment; solids drier than from ordinary decanters or filtering centrifuges.
Pre-dewatered cake is broken up as it passes from the sedimentation section into the screen section, ensuring thorough secondary dewatering.
Large-diameter screen basket provides ample capacity and a thin solids layer for stable high-throughput operation.
Higher separation factor in the screen section effectively removes residual moisture from the pre-dewatered cake.
High throughput with minimum solids loss; filtrate can be recycled for re-separation.
Screen basket can be equipped with effective flushing, with wash liquid and mother liquor discharged separately for easy liquor recovery and process management.
Continuous feeding and discharging-all separation steps completed automatically at full speed.
[Selection & Customization Services]
Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. performs dedicated selection based on particle-size distribution, concentration, viscosity, and target cake moisture: the ratio between sedimentation and screen sections is tailored to material behavior; screen slot width and open area are selectable for the 0.03–10 mm particle range; product-contact parts are available in 2205 duplex steel, 316L, 904L, or titanium; dual-motor dual-VFD drive and high-torque planetary differentials are optional; and screen flushing plus separate mother-liquor/wash-liquid discharge schemes are designed to the customer's process flow. Customers are welcome to send material samples for bench testing, where the optimal bowl configuration, differential speed, and screen specification are determined from real data.
2.LWLC Concentration-Filtration Centrifuge
[Product Introduction]
The LWLC concentration-filtration centrifuge is a combined separation machine developed by Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. as an upgrade of the LWL horizontal spiral discharge filtering centrifuge. By adding a sedimentation (concentration) drum section ahead of the filtering drum, it substantially extends the applicability of the LWL design, excelling particularly with feeds of low solids content or containing a small amount of viscous matter: dilute material is first concentrated in the sedimentation section before final dewatering in the filtration section, avoiding screen blinding and fines loss that occur when thin feed is filtered directly.
[Working Principle]
Material enters the concentration (sedimentation) drum through the feed pipe: under centrifugal force, solid particles settle and concentrate rapidly while concentrate liquid exits through the concentrate outlet-achieving "pre-concentration." The thickened, high-concentration material is then conveyed by the discharge spiral into the filtering drum, where final filtration dewatering takes place on the screen: filtrate leaves through the filter outlet and dry solids are continuously discharged through the slag port. The machine runs continuously and stably at high speed and is fitted with a torque overload protection mechanism that shuts it down safely under abnormal load.
[Product Applications]
Suitable for solid-liquid separation in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, metallurgical, and mining industries-especially concentration and dewatering of fibrous or crystalline materials with low mother-liquor solids content, slight viscosity, and solid particle diameters of 0.13–5 mm (0.2–2 mm optimal), such as citric acid, ketogulonic acid, salts, fruit juice, ammonium sulfate, and urea. It is also used for pre-concentration and dewatering of dilute slurries such as hydrometallurgical leach liquors and mine tailings. The machine is designed to GMP standards for pharmaceutical and food-grade production.
[Industry Application Cases & Market Insights]
In the citric acid and glutamic acid fermentation industries, mother liquors after primary extraction are often dilute and contain viscous soluble proteins and cell debris; feeding such liquor directly to a filtering centrifuge causes screen blinding and solids loss, requiring a separate concentration step upstream. The LWLC integrates concentration and filtration in one machine, eliminating intermediate tanks and transfer equipment and reducing both capital and operating costs. China is the world's largest citric acid producer and exporter with over 70% of global output, and the fermentation-products industry's demand for such integrated separation equipment keeps growing. In upstream new-energy fields such as lithium-battery cathode materials and hydrometallurgy, concentration-filtration coupled processes for leach liquors and wash solutions likewise call for continuous, stable, integrated machines. With its proprietary metal screen-plate mechanism, high-torque planetary differential, and bowls in 2205 duplex steel, austenitic stainless steel, or titanium, the LWLC series of Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. features a small footprint, simple operation, and easy maintenance, and has served concentration-dewatering processes in fermentation and chemical industries while entering overseas markets through the company's export network.
