[Working Principle]
After start-up, the bowl runs at full speed: the screen is first washed (back-flush plus power-wash devices restore filtering performance); feed suspension then enters through the feed pipe and distributor and spreads evenly over the screen-liquid passes through the screen and bowl-wall perforations under centrifugal force and exits via the discharge pipe, while solids are retained as an annular cake; one or more washes follow per the program (wash liquor percolates through the cake to displace mother liquor), then spin-drying brings the cake to the target moisture; finally the scraper, hydraulically or pneumatically actuated, cuts into the cake and discharges it through the chute, completing one cycle and automatically starting the next. The entire process is PLC-controlled with individually settable cake thickness, wash volume, and drying time.

Suitable for solid-liquid separation of suspensions containing fine solid particles, especially where crystal-edge integrity is not critical.
