Product Introduction

The LWS horizontal three-phase decanter centrifuge, developed by Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. for solid-liquid-liquid separation, integrates a centripetal pump (adjustable impeller) heavy-phase extraction system on the proven LW decanter platform. It continuously and efficiently separates mixtures of two immiscible liquids and one solid phase, and is widely used in kitchen-waste treatment, petrochemical plants, solvent-extraction stages of hydrometallurgy, and coal tar purification-a key piece of equipment for oil, water, and solids resource recovery.

Working Principle

Utilizing the density difference among the solid and two liquid phases, the machine accelerates sedimentation and stratification with strong centrifugal force: the heaviest solids experience the greatest centrifugal force and form the outermost layer, continuously conveyed by the screw to the slag discharge port; the heavier liquid phase is pressure-discharged from the heavy-phase outlet by the centripetal pump; the lightest liquid overflows through ports on the bowl side to the light-phase outlet. The adjustable impeller handle allows precise, on-the-fly adjustment of the pond depth and the liquid-liquid interface for optimal clarity. The entire process runs continuously, fully enclosed, and automatically.

Product Applications

Typical applications include dehydration and de-ashing of coal tar in coking plants (quinoline content of purified tar below 0.3%, dry-solids content of separated residue about 33–40%); steel-industry duties such as blast-furnace gas purification, converter gas dust removal, scale sludge and pickling sludge treatment, silt handling, and water-circuit purification; grease recovery from kitchen waste; oily sludge treatment in petroleum refining; solvent-extraction stages of hydrometallurgy; and separation of traditional Chinese medicine preparations, antibiotics, fish meal and fish processing, soy milk, fruit juice, brewers' yeast, distillers' grains, and drilling sludge.

Industry Application Cases & Market Insights

Three-phase separation is a vital process step in resource recycling and environmental protection. China accounts for over 70% of global coking capacity, and the separation of tar residue from ammonia liquor directly determines tar quality and downstream processing value: the LWS420 model, for example, achieves a throughput of 8–12 t/h with particles larger than 100 μm in the purified tar ≤0.4%, ammonia liquor in tar below 3–4%, and tar in ammonia liquor ≤0.4%-meeting feed specifications for tar deep processing. In oily sludge treatment, tightening regulations on hazardous-waste valorization drive strong demand for "reduction–recovery–harmless treatment" solutions, where three-phase decanters split sludge into recoverable oil, reusable water, and dry solids, with the recovered oil returning directly to refining. Meanwhile, the kitchen-waste treatment industry is expanding rapidly under China's "zero-waste city" policies, and the three-phase decanter is the core oil-extraction equipment whose recovery rate and purity directly determine project economics. The LWS series of Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has served three-phase separation projects in coking, steel, and kitchen-waste recycling industries, offering low-energy design, fully enclosed automatic operation, and adaptability to materials of varying viscosity and concentration.

Key Advantages

One machine, three outputs-continuous separation of solid, heavy liquid, and light liquid with simultaneous dryness and clarity guarantees.

Centripetal pump pressure-discharges the heavy phase; the adjustable impeller tunes the liquid-liquid interface precisely without shutdown.

Adjustable overflow weir plate with eccentric adjustor for precise control of pond depth.

Fully enclosed, continuous, automatic operation-minimal manual intervention, no odor escape, no product contamination.

Low-energy design that reduces operating costs and meets environmental requirements.

Strong adaptability to materials of different viscosities and concentrations (LWS420 example: 420 mm bowl inner diameter, max. 3,700 rpm, 3,220 G separation factor, 30 kW main motor, 24-hour continuous operation, noise ≤90 dB(A), vibration intensity ≤7.1 mm/s).

Selection & Customization Services

For three-phase materials such as coal tar, oily sludge, and kitchen-waste slurry, Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. offers dedicated customization: product-contact parts in centrifugally cast 2205 duplex steel as standard; replaceable large-diameter protective sleeves with liquid-guiding cones at feed and discharge ports for rapid throughput; an automatic oil make-up reservoir on the differential with low-level alarm and shutdown; FAG bearings, UKS seals, optional explosion-proof motors; Schneider low-voltage components, INVT/Huichuan VFDs, Siemens PLC and HMI, and optional on-site explosion-proof control boxes. Selection tests can be performed on customer materials, with a separation-performance test report issued to ensure contractual performance after delivery.

Core Technologies of Shengli Decanters

Beyond overall performance, the decanter centrifuges of Jiangsu Shengli Centrifuge Manufacturing Co., Ltd. incorporate numerous proprietary features in core components and control technology: (1) a self-developed multi-stage planetary gear differential based on German technology, with independently driven screw and bowl-simply adjusting the auxiliary motor speed sets the desired differential; (2) a unique large-pitch, low-differential screw operating mode combined with a leading-screw design (screw faster than bowl) that reduces main-motor load and saves significant energy; (3) a constant-torque control system with automatic PID adjustment of differential speed and automatic feed-valve closing on overload, usually clearing overloads without shutdown; (4) longitudinal anti-slip bars on the bowl's inner surface, vortex-flow discharge ports that minimize disturbance, and a 360° saddle-type slag port on the cone section for smooth, dead-zone-free discharge; (5) centrifugally cast bowl, end covers, and screw cylinder inspected for intergranular corrosion, dynamically balanced to at least G2.5, with main-bearing temperature ≤70°C and temperature rise ≤30°C in no-load operation and a design life of more than 10 years; (6) comprehensive safety protections including guards, overload protection, bearing over-temperature protection, differential oil-loss protection, and stall protection, with online vibration, speed, and bearing-temperature monitoring. These engineering details keep Shengli decanters running reliably under demanding duties-a direct embodiment of the company's philosophy of "high quality, attentive service, safety, and reliability."
