Basic Structure And Working Principle Of Fully Automatic Centrifuge

Sep 25, 2025 Leave a message

A fully automatic centrifuge mainly consists of a rotating drum, a drive system, a control system, and a casing. The rotating drum is the core component, typically made of stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials, and is used to load the samples to be separated. The drive system provides power, causing the drum to rotate at high speed, generating centrifugal force. The control system is responsible for adjusting parameters such as rotation speed, time, and temperature to ensure a stable and reliable separation process.

During operation, the sample is placed in the rotating drum. After the machine starts, the drum rotates at high speed. Centrifugal force causes denser components to move outwards and deposit at the bottom or sidewalls of the drum, while lighter components move closer to the center. After separation, the machine automatically stops, and the operator can remove the separated samples.
